Takiyah Prowell is your average 8 year old – your average 8 year old bestselling author!

Takiyah Prowell is a delightful and talented young girl who enjoys reading. So, she decided to make her passion her business. After receiving multiple awards and recognition for her reading skills, Takiyah decided to write ‘Re-Re the Reader’- a children’s book written to inspire children all around the world to read more.

Inspired by the determination and guts to write her own book and start her own business, Kebloom got in touch with Takiyah:

1) Please introduce yourself.

My name is Takiyah Prowell and I am 8 years Old. I was originally for St. Louis but recently we moved to West Tennessee.

“Re-Re the Reader is about a young girl who gets superpowers from reading.”

2) Tell us a little bit about Re-Re the Reader?

Re-Re the Reader is about a young girl who gets superpowers from reading. An evil doctor is in town and is trying to stop kids from reading. She has superpowers and stops him.

3) Who are your customers?

Re-Re the Reader is for kids all around the world who love to read.

“My goal is to help kids, libraries, and at home to have more books.”

4) What passions inspired Re-Re the Reader?

What inspired me to write Re-Re the Reader is my love for reading!

As you can see here is my home library.  I have many different books that I read a lot and this shows that I love to read.

5) What skills have you developed from running your business?

The things I have learnt from selling books is that it takes hard work to make things right. This is why I work with a group in St Louis called Young Biz Kids. They help kids learn about entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

6) What advice would you give to other young entrepreneurs?

My advice to other children who want to be an entrepreneur is that if you want to create a business then just ask someone that you know, so that you can be successful in having a business.

7) What are your current goals and what is your ultimate business goal?

My goal is to help kids, libraries, and at home to have more books.

And my goal for Re-Re the Reader is that I want Re-Re to be in schools and libraries all over the world.

“remember reading is your superpower!”

8) Anything else you’d like to add?

I have been recently nominated for the authors category in the STL magazine 2021 A-List. You can find Re-Re the Reader on Facebook and Instagram at @rerethereader

and remember reading is your superpower!

… I also have merch!
