What content is covered in our courses?

Ideation to Launch - 5 Day & 8 Week Course Outline

Course outline

Introduction & program overview Be who you are! - students will uncover their superpowers , discover their passions, interests and skills and design their own superhero avatar.

Let’s think about this & name it! - students will work in groups to identify a problem that needs solving and use their problem solving skills, creativity and superpowers to brainstorm to come up with a solution. They will give their idea a name.

Who's it for? - students will understand who their customers are and how they are helping them. Students will conduct research to better understand their target market and develop a customer profile 

Let's make a plan! - students will understand all the elements to turn their idea into reality - what activities need to be completed, what resources will they need, who will help them and when will they spend time on their idea to turn it into a reality? 

Money Talk! - to better understand the money piece, students will work out how much it will cost them to set up and develop their idea and how much they should charge. Students will learn what revenue and profit is. In their groups they will work out their profit margin and what the price of their product or service will be.

Where are you headed? - students will set personal and business objectives using SMART goals.

Learning outcomes

1) Awareness & self-discovery - Uncover their superpowers by discovering their passions & interests

2) Problem solving, creativity & collaboration - identify a problem that needs solving and use their problem solving skills, creativity and superpowers to brainstorm to come up with a solution.

3) Public speaking & validation - develop a pitch to validate their idea and present within their groups to validate their idea

4) Research & customer Profiling - Understanding who your customers are and how you are helping them.

5) Customer Service Standards - Conduct research on their competitors and brainstorm how they will stand out from the rest.

6) Planning and organisation skills - Understand all the elements to turn their idea into reality - action plan, resourcing, time management. Students will work through each of these to come up with a detailed action plan & resource list

7) Financial skills - Students will learn what revenue and profit is, what it costs them to deliver their services/products and how much to charge

8) Goal setting - Students will set personal and business objectives using SMART goals


Introduction to Entrepreneurship & Getting Started With Your First Business

Course outline

Have you always wanted to start up your very own business, but don't know where to start? Then this course is perfect for you! Learn the practical steps to launch your very own business!

The introduction to entrepreneurship course will cover the following topics:

1) Understand what an entrepreneur is

2) Learn about different type of businesses

3) Understand the steps involved in starting your very own business

4) Be inspired by other young entrepreneurs and hear all about their journey & what inspired their business idea

5) Validate an existing business idea if you have one, or brainstorm new business ideas and match them to your skills, passions & interests.

6) Develop an action plan to get your business off the ground and up and running.
